Launch of New 'Live-In' Care Service

Absolute Healthcare are pleased to have launched a new 'live-in' care service to benefit residents in the local area.

The service enables elderly or disabled people to remain in the comfort of their own home, whilst receiving a uniquely tailored package of clinical and personal care, led by Registered Nurse, Louise Jeffrey.

A personal carer stays in a client's home, available to help around the clock with physical, practical and emotional support. It is an increasingly popular alternative to moving into a care home, and for many, allows life to be lived independently, removing the pressure upon family and friends.

We can tailor care to a client's every need including; Nursing-led care, help with washing and dressing, medication management, cooking, housework, management of falls and accidents, caring for a pet, journeys to appointments, attending social activities or hobbies.

Live-in care is particularly attractive to people who get confused by a new environment or find it difficult to adapt to change, for example those living with dementia where continuity, routine and familiarity of surroundings are incredibly important.

A live-in carer can also be useful to clients who need help for a short time, perhaps when recovering from an illness or operation. It offers companionship, reducing the risk of people feeling isolated and lonely, which can have positive effects on confidence, happiness and wellbeing.

The cost of live-in care is comparable to that of a residential setting, but people are given a one-to-one personal service, routines are kept flexible to fit in with how they choose to enjoy their daily life, and a live-in carer can often mean that loving partners are able to stay together longer, in the family home.

What sets Absolute Healthcare apart from other live-in care providers, is that all of our staff are specially trained by our Director of Care, Louise Jeffrey (RGN), to support people living with the symptoms and challenges of conditions such as; Dementia, Parkinsons, Diabetes, MS, Cerebral Palsy, Palliative or End of Life Care.

If you or anyone you know could benefit from live-in care, why not give us a call and arrange a trial of this superb new service. Tel: 01420 769658.
