Today is ‘Young Carers Awareness Day’ - a national day of recognition for the 700,000 young carers in the UK who work around the clock providing care and support to family and friends.

We were really concerned to hear at a recent support group for parents with special needs children, that a lot of mums who desperately need some respite care, aren't getting it because the authorities are not forthcoming with information on which companies to use, and are not helping with the direct payment process.

Absolute Healthcare offer live-in care or short pop-in visits to mums with disabled or special needs children. We can also help liaise with the local authority. Help spread the word in our community that we're here for them. No mum should suffer alone...
